2010 Children’s Water Education Festival
The Orange County Water District, Disneyland® Resort, National Water Research Institute, Municipal Water District of Orange County and Orange County Water District Groundwater Guardian Team present the 14th Annual Children’s Water Education Festival.
Over the past 13 years, more than 75,000 children from Orange County have had the opportunity to learn about and experience their environment through the Children’s Water Education Festival, which is recognized nationally as the largest event of its kind. The mission of the Festival is to educate students about water-related and conservation issues. Never has there been a more important time to teach our children that they can make “Blue” and “Green” choices to help protect our water resources and environment for today, tomorrow and the future.
The 14th annual Festival takes place March 24-25, 2010, at the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace Foundation in Yorba Linda, where more than 5,000 4th, 5th and 6th grade students and their teachers will converge. The Festival is provided at no cost to schools, making public and private financial support crucial to the success of this educational event and its continued growth.
